Mercedes, Principal's Pride!
Mercedes was honored at school in January as one of the Principal Pride students! She was presented with a certificate during a ceremony which parents were invited to attend. We are very proud of her and all of her hard work in school. She is such a smart girl and a sweetheart too!

We are looking forward to 2008! We had a great start by celebrating together as a family. We stayed up playing games, eating snacks and watching the ball drop of course!
Not quite a baby anymore!
Lydia Sue sure is getting big! She has begun to walk and LOVES to empty our kitchen drawers and cupboards.
Christmas Time...
Decorating Christmas cookies is a favorite holiday time activity at our home (of course we enjoy eating them too!)
Our favorite Christmas gift this year was from Mom. She made us a beautiful quilt for our bedroom! It is unbelievable!!!
Christmas is such a wonderful time of year, whether you are 20, 40 or 60! I think this time of year brings back the special emotions you had when you were a child. The beautiful lights that twinkle on the tree when you wake up just before dawn... and the room full of gifts and surprises! It is such an honor to be able to create these memories for our own children. To know that they will someday look back on the Christmas holidays they have now as children, makes it that much more fun!
It is amazing how when you become a parent, you don't think of what you want during the holidays, but more of what you can do for your children or for others. The magic in the eyes of our little ones is the best gift we could ask for!
